At ARB’s Australian manufacturing facility, every aspect of the BASE Rack has been meticulously engineered to deliver a roof rack that mounts as low as possible to the vehicle, while remaining exceptionally strong and lightweight. Thanks to its robust design, it maintains structural integrity even under substantial loads.

Constructed from single-piece extruded aluminium cross beams, this rack offers superior rigidity and reduced risk of bending. The transverse beam layout enhances strength and supports the transport of long, narrow items with ease. The entire structure is fully welded — without bolts or rivets — except for the corner caps, which can be removed for wiring. A variety of ultra-low-profile mounting feet ensures a streamlined and aerodynamic fit.

The BASE Rack is built with flexibility in mind. It starts as a flat platform and can be configured into a full basket-style rack using modular guard rails — covering the full perimeter or just sections such as ¾, ¼, or sides only — depending on your needs.

The rail system attaches easily to the perimeter channels, offering quick configuration changes to suit different types of cargo and expeditions.

Both the outer frame and internal beams are equipped with integrated accessory channels, allowing for fast and easy installation of tie-down points such as rings, straps and hooks. This makes securing your load safer, more efficient, and completely tool-free.
